JOIN USHe was speaking at a 3-day workshop on the implementation of Kannada as an administrative language by Kannada and Culture Department and Kannada Development Authority for government employees in Chamarajanagar on Thursday.
Commitment needed
The implementation of Kannada as an administrative language would help all people to understand the programmes of the government and helpful to reach all people.
Besides, there should be a commitment among the government employees for its implementation.
The officials must check whether the name plates of vehicles, name boards of all shops and traders have been written in Kannada, he added.
Professor at Karnataka Administrative Training Institute informed about the government officials writing letters and preparing various types of records and file in Kannada.
Assistant Director of Kannada and Culture Annegowda also spoke on the occasion.
