Real estate agent brutally attacked by miscreants

A 36-year-old real estate agent was brutally attacked by miscreants near his residence at  Nelagedara nahalli in Peenya on Saturday night.

According to police, the victim, Sripathi, a resident of Nelagedaranahalli, was attacked with weapons and is currently being admitted in a private hospital. He is said to be in a critical condition.

Sripathi was into real estate business and owned an office near his house. On Saturday, around 10.40 pm, he was walking back home from his office, when a few miscreants attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and fled.

Sripathi collapsed on the ground and was bleeding severely. The residents of the area, who heard the commotion, came out of their houses and found Sripathi lying on the ground. They informed the police, who shifted the victim to a nearby hospital, said the police.

A senior police officer said, “It is learnt that around four to five persons followed Sripathi from his office and attacked him. It is said to be business rivalry. The doctors at the hospital have said that he is in critical condition, as he has suffered head injuries. Once he is fine, we will take his statement.” A case has been registered at the Peenya police station and investigation is being carried out to trace the attackers.
