Five teams, including two from hosts India, will take part in a Pentangular International Throwball Championship for men and women, starting on Friday at the Sindhi PU College Indoor Stadium.
Teams from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Malaysia apart from India and India ‘A’ will compete for the top honours. India are the defending champions, having won the title last year in Kuala Lumpur.
The matches will be played on round robin-cum-knock out basis. The top four teams will clash for a place in the final on August 9.
