'Vista 2010' gets underway today

Last Updated 28 January 2010, 18:32 IST

In its last edition, ‘Vista’ saw participation of over 150 colleges, 70 corporates and 6.2 million web clicks.

Although the business meet will be held from January 29 to 31, most of the contests have already begun.

More than 30 events

The theme for ‘Vista 2010’ is ‘India at the Crossroads’, capturing the two visible faces of India — the vibrant side which is getting more assertive with the world finally taking notice and the rebellious one crying for equality with the brighter half.
‘Vista 2010’ has contests in store across all major disciplines and a line-up of 30 plus events. Some of the more popular events are ‘Numero Uno’ (The best CEO), ‘Drishtikone’ (parliamentary debating), ‘Bzzwings’ (the b-plan contest) and ‘Bizarre’ (business quiz).

Further, ‘Vista 2010’ will also feature eminent speakers including Mani Shankar Aiyar, Bharat Doshi, and Meera Sanyal.

Going green

In a significant change from its previous edition, ‘Vista 2010’ is going green this year.
“It is the message we are trying to send across that people need to sit up and listen to. Going green comes at a cost, but we are prepared to bear it for the greater cause,” says Vishwanath S, Secretary of the Forum for Industrial Interaction (FII), the team that organises ‘Vista’ every year.
