Aiming to make accessibility of technology, programmes and public services for persons with disability a major thrust, the department of disability is working on “accessible India” campaign.
IT hopes Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan would capture the imagination of government departments and the public like Swachh Bharat.
The campaign would focus on making public buildings, technology and entertainment programmes accessible for persons with disability.
The campaign aims to ensure accessible features on television sets, mobile phones and other equipments of daily use.
