The BJP on Thursday lodged a complaint with the State Election Commission that the police officers in Sarvagnanagar Assembly constituency were harassing the BJP workers to campaign in favour of the Congress candidates.

A delegation led by BJP general secretary C T Ravi registered a complaint with the State Election Commissioner, P N Sreenivasachari, stating that Hennur Inspector
Lakshminarayana, Banaswadi Inspector Mohan Kumar and K G Halli Inspector Sreenivasa were involved in harassing BJP workers in all eight wards coming under the constituency.

The police have been threatening innocent BJP workers that history sheets would be opened against them if they did not stop working for the BJP, the complaint stated.
Home Minister K J George is the MLA from Sarvagnanagar.
