Stanford Graduate School of Business returns to Benagaluru with Stanford Ignite, a 11-week certificate program for innovators and entrepreneurial thinkers. Prospective applicants for the 8 January – 20 March 2016 program may apply online by 29 September 2015.  Designed to deliver the same highly personal and immersive instruction that executives and students at Stanford experience, Stanford Ignite-Bengaluru is aimed at technical professionals, innovators, and entrepreneurs with no previous graduate management education; it is also appropriate for non-business graduate students, post-doctoral scholars, engineers, and scientists.

Certificate in rocket dynamics

The Department of Physics of St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) in collaboration with Indian Space Research Organisation is conducting a certificate course in Space and Rocket Dynamics. Classes will be conducted by eminent scientists from Indian Institute of Astrophysics, ISRO and other leading scientific institutions on Saturday afternoons.

Topics that will be covered include astronomy and astrophysics, rocket dynamics, solar physics, cosmology, astrobiology, planetary science and high energy astronomy. Students will visit ISRO Satellite Centre, Shriharikota Range, Vainu Bappu Observatory, Kavalur, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thumba and Cauribidanur Radio Observatory. BSc students with physics are eligible to apply, a few engineering students will also be admitted. The duration of the course is 120 hours. Certificate in Mergers and Acquisitions

The New York Institute of Finance has announced the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Professional Certificate for completing an Xseries, a sequence of related modules, on the edX platform. An XSeries is a group of courses that add up to a rich understanding of an area of study. Once a learner passes the entire series, they receive a personalised XSeries shareable certificate to prove the work they’ve put in and the understanding they hold over the subject.

MD Anaesthesia

Aligarh Muslim University offers an MD in Anaesthesiology. The programme imparts knowledge about providing anaesthesia services in departments like cardiothoracic, neuro surgery, paediatric, plastic and joint replacement surgery together with anaesthetic services to general surgery, ENT, orthopaedic, ophthalmology and gynaecology, radiology (CT and MRI) & radiotherapy suites and other interventional procedures. BSc Optometry

A three year paramedical course in BSc Optometry has been introduced by the Rajiv Gnadhi University of Health Sciences. This programme also includes a one year internship as well. In Bengaluru, it is available at Nethradhama School of Optometry, Jayanagar, attached to Nethradhama Super Speciality Eye Hospital and Shankar Eye Hospital, Marthahalli.
