Sukruth, Dhanyaa clinch titles

 Sukruth and Dhanyaa A triumphed in the Sub-junior boys and girls categories respectively in the District-ranking table tennis tournament here on Saturday.

Sukurth faced Amogh Moses in the final, whom he beat 11-7, 7-11, 11-7, 11-5.

While he won the first game comfortable, Amogh staged a minor comeback by winning the second set 7-11. But the champion claimed the next two sets 11-7, 11-5.

However, Dhanyaa’s victory was a lot easier as she breezed past Ruthu Rohit in straight sets 11-9, 11-8, 11-8.

Mini cadet: Boys: Samarth B bt Dheemanth BS 8-11, 11-5, 11-9, 13-11.
Girls: Harshini bt Sinchana M 11-1, 11-3, 11-6.
