JOIN US Anand Katti’s good showing with the ball in the first innings gave Visveswarapuram Cricket Club a massive 264-run victory over Vikram Cricket Club in the semifinal of the KSCA Group I, Division IV league cum knockout tournament for the Metro Shield.
Visveswarapuram CC scored 245/8 in their first innings with Yere Goud top scoring with 82 while he was ably supported by Manoj Bhandage, who contributed with a fine half century (56).
In response, Vikram CC were bowled out for 78 in their first innings thanks to Katti’s 6/10 as Suraj Yadav and Goud ,backing his performance with the bat, picked up 2/7.
In their second hit, Vikram CC were bundled out for ten runs fewer, 68, than their first innings score.
Akshay Chenniga and Bharath R accounted for half the Vikram CC side.
Akshay was wrecker-in-chief with 3-12.
Visveswarapuram CC will face Century Cricketers in the final of the tournament after they overcame Dolphin Cricketers by 178 runs in the other semifinal.
