In another accident, a teenage vendor died on the spot when a BMTC ran him over near the HAL’s Overhaul Division near Old Airport Road on Tuesday.
Bura Lal, 18, from Rajasthan, was riding a motorcycle to the HAL market to buy vegetables for his pani puri business. Around 6 am, he entered a one-way. Sunil Kumar, a private company employee who was riding to Marathahalli, hit the handlebar of Lal’s two-wheeler.
Both of them fell down. Just then, a BMTC bus ran over Lal, crushing him to death.
Passersby took both of them to hospital but Lal could not be revived. Kumar fractured a leg.
The police found fault with Lal, saying he rode in the wrong direction. He took the one-way to avoid a roundabout route to the market, they said. He was living in Marathahalli.
