Woman falls to death
A 45-year-old woman died after falling into a sump in KR Puram on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Meena, a resident of Swatanatranagar. She was deaf and dumb and had taken to drinking. She was employed as a labourer at an under-construction building at Swatanatranagar.

She was heavily drunk on Sunday and fell into the sump at the construction site. A few workers spotted the body floating in the sump on Monday morning, said the police.

Workers rescued
Two labourers, who were engaged in cleaning the high-rise windows, were stuck at the 21st floor of World Trade Centre in Yeshwanthpur on Monday. The labourers were later rescued by Fire and Emergency personnel after breaking open the glass window.
The incident happened at around 12.30 pm. The labourers were using a trolly to mop the glass windows of the 32-storey building.

As they reached the 21st floor, the trolly got stuck and the labourers could not get onto the 21st floor.

The security staff of the building could not lower the trolly and later the Subramanyanagar police were alerted. The Fire personnel rescued the labourers at around 8.30 pm, police said.
