The Bengaluru district administration conducted a special drive on Saturday and cleared encroachments spread over 28 acre and recovered land worth Rs 110 crore.
The drive was conducted in the Bengaluru South taluk to clear encroachment of lake located on survey number 69 of Cholanayakanahalli village in Uttarahalli Hobli. The encroached land is valued at Rs 10 crore.
Three encroachment clearance drives were conducted in Bengaluru East taluk. The officials reclaimed about 19 acres of government land worth Rs 100 crore at K R Puram and Dasarahalli under KR Puram hobli and and Avalahalli under Bidarahalli hobli.
Deputy Commissioner V Shankar and tahsildar Dr Harish Naik led the drives.
