Govt clears 12 FDI plans

Among the proposals cleared were Max India Limited’s proposal to bring in Rs 529 crore to expand its  financial services, Kolkata-based Darjeeling Organic Tea Estates Private Limited’s plan to bring in Rs 84 crore, Mothercare UK Limited to bring in funds worth Rs 25.87 crore to subscribe to the equity shares of an Indian company for retail trading under single brand. 

Further, it also cleared Hyderabad-based Soma Highways (TOLL) Projects Private Limited’s proposal to bring in FDI of Rs 360 crore for induction of foreign investment in an investing company and Network 18 Media and Investment Limited’s proposal to bring in FDI worth Rs 23.94 was okayed by the government.
