Occasionals bag three points after draw

Abhishek Reddy slammed a double century while team-mates Kayan Abbas and KN Bharath hit tons as Bangalore Occasionals drew their KSCA Group I, 1st Division League match for the Sir Mirza Ismail Shield against Mount Joy Cricket Club here.

Batting first, Mount Joy posted a challenging 352/9 in 90 overs, thanks largely to V Cheluvaraj’s 139 and handy contributions from Sharath BR (59), Kiran AM (77) and Aditya Sommanma (48 n.o.).

Bangalore Occasionals, in reply, made 465/3 in their 90 overs with Abhishek cracking a fine 203. Abbas hit 104 and Bharath slammed an unbeaten 113.

Mount Joy made 92/3 in their second innings but thanks to their first innings display, Bangalore Occasionals took home three points.
