Villagers allege delay in water supply work

The borewell was sunk ten days ago to tide over the acute water scarcity in the  village.

Venkatesh, a leader has alleged that the officers concerned have been dillydallying to fix a pumpset to facilitate drawing water. Repeated requests made to the authorities to fix a pumpset for the newly sunk borewell  have went in vain.

There are more than 20 houses in the village and people have to go to Thimmapura, 3 kms away from Karabele, to fetch water.

While the authorities are citing non-availability of funds, public are put to untold hardship. The villagers have sought the intervention of district administration.
