JOIN USYash Shanbhag’s six-wicket haul helped Bangalore Zone earn three points from their drawn encounter against Combined Mofussil XI in the KSCA under-19 inter-zonal cricket tournament here.
Abhiram V (79) and Jayesh Babu (56) struck half-centuries as Bangalore Zone posted 232 in 72.2 overs. Yashash claimed four wickets (4/47) for Mofussil XI while Shashank K (2/56) and Srikar Ganiga (2/24) chipped in with two wickets each.
In reply, Mofussil XI made 225 in 82.1 overs, with Gautam Sagar and Amey M Bhatkande scoring 50 and 51 runs respectively. Shanbhag, with figures of 6/31, was the most successful bowler for Bangalore.
In their second essay, Bangalore were 35 for four, with Gautam (4/25) scalping all the wickets for Mofussil XI, before the match ended in a draw. Bangalore Zone received three points for taking the first innings lead.
