The Haryana Police in Ambala on Monday registered a case against popular music director and singer Vishal Dadlani, 43, after he made objectionable comments against renowned Jain Muni saint Taran Sagar.

The case against Dadlani was registered on a complaint filed by one Puneet Arora. The police said the matter is being investigated. The music director, who has given hits like ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ and other popular songs, has been booked for hurting religious sentiments of people.

A complaint has also been filed against another person for posting a picture of the saint with a woman in an undesirable manner. The monk had delivered a speech before MLA and others at a session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha a few days ago. Dadlani, a supporter of the Aam Aadmi Party, had tweeted something that was perceived as objectionable, saying the event reflected an unhealthy trend of religion colouring politics. He had apologised, in fact, he even deleted his comment, but to no avail.
