India Innovation fair begins

 Industries Minister R V Deshpande on Saturday inaugurated the India International Innovation Fair 2016 (IIIF 2016) in Bengaluru.

The event was organised by Indian Innovators Association and supported by the International Federation of Inventors Association (IFIA), a Geneva-based body. The department of science and technology has also extended its support. 

Stressing on innovation, Deshpande said, “Sir M Visvesvaraya had said that either industrialise or perish, and now it is time to either innovate or perish.” 

The exibition, which was initially planned for three days at the BIEC, has been curtailed to a two-day event between September 10-11, owing to the Karnataka Bandh on Friday.
