Suspects surrender

Three suspects surrendered before the local court at Anekal on Wednesday in connection with the murder of Halanayakanahalli village panchayat vice-president Manjunath.

Dilip, Raghu and Murali sfsurrendered before the court and confessed to the crime. The police have filed a petition before the court seeking the custody of the suspects to collect more evidence in the case.

The court will take up the petition for hearing on Friday. Manjunath had financial and land disputes with the suspects which resulted in the murder. The three hacked Manjunath to death with lethal weapons on September 20 on the road behind Amrita School of Engineering and absconded.
