Students from the Government Home Science College and NCC cadets participated by displaying placards to create awareness about heart diseases.

Over 150 Class V students from CMR National Public School, Kalyannagar, in association with Sakra World Hospital, made a heart-shaped formation with placards and heart-shaped balloons. Dr Adil Sadiq, senior consultant and Head, Adult Cardiac Surgery at Sakra World Hospital explained to them the idea of "Power Your Heart" campaign. “The young generation is  no longer inclined towards physical activities. Often, due to academic pressure and advancement in technology, they have been shackled in their homes. It is important for youngsters to understand the need for a clean, healthy diet, avoiding junk food, getting some physical activity and adequate sleep to prevent cardiovascular diseases,” he added.

Meanwhile, Cigna TTK Health Insurance announced the launch of ‘Get ProActiv India’ as part of its ProActiv Living Programme which is designed to encourage and reward people to be physically active.
