Pay surprise visits to hospitals, ZP chief tells health officials

Presiding over the KDP meet held at ZP hall on Thursday, he said that the District Health and Family Welfare Officer should hold surprise visits to the hospitals and get to know how the hospitals are functioning.

They should take action against the doctors who are found not rendering their services properly. He said that steps should be taken to display the stock of drugs in all hospitals. Kemparaju informed the officials about the complaints being received about the unclean surrounding at Animal Husbandry department office premises in the city.

He asked the Education Department officials to see to it that the uniforms and books to be distributed to students for the next academic year is kept ready on time. He asked the officials to take all measures to prevent any malpractice during SSLC examination to be held during April.

The officials were asked to complete all the drinking water projects started in the district and provide them with electricity connection so that people are benefited from the same. They were also asked to see to it that projects under MGREGS are undertaken efficiently without any lapses. ZP Vice-President Manjula Raghumurthy informed the Social Welfare officials that the food stuff supplied to Kamanakere hostel are of poor quality.

She said that the hostel management must be asked to store the vegetable in a hygienic manner and take steps to purchase vegetables on daily basis. Adding to this, Standing Committee for Social Justice President Hoovappa said that Mudigere BCM hostel is no better. He demanded transfer of the hostel warden V Nilaya who has been working in the same hostel for many years.

Standing committee for Industry and Agriculture Radha Sundaresh said that Shanthinagar school is being rented out for private programmes during holidays, which should be stopped immediately. Education Department officials were asked to take action in this regard. Standing Committee President Shanmukha Bhovi and others were present.
