Making a clear statement

The latest ‘Spring-Summer Collection’ of ‘ELLE’ is the perfect partywear for women since it has an amalgamation of an array of themes. The new line has all the right statement pieces for a woman of refined taste. The designers have played around with fabrics like lurex, lace and metallic colours to add a touch of opulence to the entire look.

Owned by France-based Lagardere Active Group, ‘ELLE’ caters  to the fashion sensibilities of young women aged between 18 and 25 years.

Shekar C S, CEO, ‘ELLE’, says that it is the brand’s open-minded approach and optimism that has brought it so far and helped it stay ahead of its competitors.
The brand has four collections — ‘Dressed Up Denim’, ‘Casual’, ‘Chic’ and ‘Occasion’. The ‘Dressed Up Denim’ line offers a twist to the regular denim outfits.

‘Casual’ provides one with effortless everyday dressing that’s fun yet stylish; ‘Chic’ has the perfect mix of classy garments that are apt to be worn to high teas and brunches and ‘Occasion’ comprises party wear in attractive cuts, colours and designs.

“The ‘Casual’ and ‘Chic’ lines work with solids and prints of the season. The entire offering has some catchy, printed designs with a perfect blend of minimalist solid pieces. With a quiet feminine sensibility, these lines remain relaxed and classic and are inspired by florals, chintz, French themes and classic monochromes,” elaborates Shekar.

ELLE’s collections are inspired from global trends featuring unique design detail, special fabrics and elegant patterns and textures with a feminine touch.

“The collection is a mix of daywear and statement pieces inspired by the latest trends,” adds Shekar. He believes that the women of today are sure of themselves and know exactly what they want when it comes to fashion. There’s something for every kind of woman. “We have a wide range of garments — bright and colourful ones, solid prints, shimmer and lace dresses. All this in addition to trendy denims,” he says. The brand is clear that they cater to the requirements of the new workforce and Shekar feels it is a challenge to keep pace with the ever-changing fashion sensibilities of young women.

“Our four categories have something for every occasion, be it a casual outing, a brunch or even a night out with friends. This is to make sure that women don’t fall short of choices,” says Shekar.
