'Agni' Sridhar grilled in APMC chief attack case

The North East division police on Wednesday summoned ‘reformed’ underworld don ‘Agni’ Sridhar for questioning in APMC president Kabadagere Srinivas shooting case.

The Sampigehalli inspector who is the investigating officer, interrogated Sridhar for around four hours to verify and corroborate certain statements made by the accused in custody. The accused also included the two undertrials who were taken into police custody recently from Vijayapura prison on suspicion that they could have supplied the countrymade pistols to the shooters.

The investigating team is also trying to find out at whose directions the weapons were supplied to shooters, and Sridhar was questioned on these lines, hinted sources privy to investigations. “Sridhar cooperated with the questioning and as of now, we have no specific evidence against his direct involvement in the crime,” said a senior police officer.
