<p>The high court on Monday ordered notice to the state government in a petition against the nomination of six people to Bangalore University’s syndicate.<br /><br />The petitioners argued that the nominations violate the Karnataka State University Act, 2000. K N Ramesh has challenged the nomination of N Vijaya Kumara Simha, Jayanna, S J Daniel Fernandes, Nafis Fathima, B G Ravikumar and K R Manjunath. He said they were not eligible to be nominated to the syndicate as their nomination was done through a recommendation. <br /><br />A PIL was filed in this regard where a representation was given to the Additional Chief Secretary, High Education Department. The representation was rejected. Justice A S Bopanna ordered notice in the matter.</p>
