Hopcoms on Monday launched its online marketing of its fruits and vegetables. G Srinivasan, Hopcoms president told reporters that people can log onto www.hortibazaar.com to make their purchases. The Hopcoms has tied up with Hunnarvi Technologies to supply the items to the consumers’ doorsteps.
Those purchasing items worth Rs 250 to Rs 500 will have to pay Rs 25 as delivery charges, for purchases up to Rs 1000, the delivery charges will be Rs 50 and for purchases above Rs 1,000, the delivery charges will be Rs 75.
In the first phase, consumers in Koramangala, JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Indiranagar and BTM Layout will be able to avail of the facility. Consumers living within a three-kilometre radius of their Hopcoms outlets will be able to make online purchases. The service will be gradually extended to other localities. This will help people who are unable to buy fruits and vegetables from Hopcoms outlets to buy them online.
