Mercury drops after welcome showers

The Meteorological Department sources said the temperature had dropped to 23.4 degrees Celsius by 11.00 pm on Tuesday, a drastic fall from the 27.6 degrees Celsius recorded on Monday. The rainfall recorded was 1.8 mm.
