Mayor G Padmavathi on Friday visited various maternity homes of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and directed the officials to keep the premises tidy.
The mayor met the patients admitted in these hospitals and gathered information about the ‘Madilu kit’ scheme.
She assured the doctors of taking necessary steps to provide medical equipment and construct overhead tanks at the maternity homes using special grants.
The mayor noticed certain shortcomings in the services and the facilities in the maternity homes and directed the officials to set them right before her next visit.
