Deputy Commissioner D S Ramesh has informed here that a one-day workshop on ‘Davangere Vision-2025’ will be held at B-School in Davangere on October 7.

Speaking to press persons at his office in Davangere, he said, Vision-2025 report will be prepared after discussing with various stakeholders, citizens, people-friendly organisations, non-governmental organisations, officials, elected representatives and other experts to facilitate the overall development of Davangere in the next seven years.

As per instructions from the State government, Davangere district administration will soon come out with a comprehensive project report ‘Davangere Vision- 2025’ for facilitating the overall development of the district after inviting suggestions and getting feedback from stakeholders.

He said, there is an urgent need to prepare a detailed project report to improve efficiency and administrative mechanism. He said, this vision report is giving thrust to 13 key sectors including farming and allied sector, roads, water supply, power, industrial sector, social justice and others. All sectors would have a nodal officer to oversee the preparation for the report.

The DC wanted the officials to involve students, farmers, farm labourers, non-government organisations, traders, advocates, writers, thinkers, media persons, religious and political leaders and experts while preparing the report.
