Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar made Bengalureans proud as he tweeted on Friday his appreciation for pillion riders in the city for helmets.

The former cricketer tweeted a picture of a man and woman on a two-wheeler, both of them wearing helmets. The message read: 'The power of two! Great going, Bengaluru'.

Tendulkar's Twitter followers thanked the 'God of Cricket' for spreading the message of road safety. Some joked that that they wore helmets not out of fear for their lives but out of fear of Bengaluru Traffic Police. Others tweeted back pictures of them wearing helmets on two-wheelers.

His message was retweeted over 1,800 times and was liked by nearly 20,000 users.

Tendulkar has been campaigning 'Helmet Daalo 2.0' for a while now. On Friday, he also shared a video of him travelling in his car in Kerala, in which he advises helmetless pillion riders passing by his car, on road safety.
