Cong attacks Rupani

Last Updated 09 November 2017, 18:43 IST

The Congress on Thursday rejected the Justice Sivarajan Commission report on the solar scam in Kerala, reports DHNS from New Delhi.

"We reject the report in toto. Mr Chandy and others are more than willing to face any trial," said Randeep Singh Surjewala, in-charge of the AICC communications department.

Seeking to turn the tables on the BJP, Surjewala demanded the resignation of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani whose firm was fined by the Securities and Exchange Board of India after it was found to be indulging in insider trading.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi hit out at Rupani saying it was another instance of 'na khaunga, na khane dunga' (neither will I indulge in corruption, nor will I allow it).
