400 more medical seats this year

Besides, the government would be open to accept fresh proposals to set up medical colleges in the state. The minister said the government had reimbursed Rs 90,000 to those students joined medical course under higher fee category in 2006-07. Hospital at Devanahalli

The minister informed that the government is keen on setting up a hi-tech hospital for heart diseases and a medical college in Devanahalli, near international airport. He said the government had notified 200 acres of land for the project. The total project would require Rs 500 crore.
