<p>City Mayor Sampath Raj inaugurated reserved parking slots for women on the Commercial Street and near Garuda Mall on Sunday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">This comes after the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) launched a dedicated 'pay and park' slots system exclusively for cars driven by women on Brigade Road.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said: "On the Commercial Street there is space to park 72 vehicles. In this, 15 parking slots are reserved for women and three slots for people with disabilities.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"In Garuda Mall, there are 972 parking slots. In this, 195 will be reserved for women drivers," he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"We have also decided to reserve parking space for women on the city roads in the coming days," the Mayor said.</p>
