<p>The fast-unto-death being held under the leadership of V P Shashidhar demanding the formation of a separate Cauvery taluk has entered the fifth day.</p>.<p class="bodytext">On Friday the members of Muslim Okkotta supported the stir being held at Gundu Rao Satyagraha Vedike at the car stand.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The agitators formed a human chain and blocked the road as a mark of protest.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Central committee member Abdul Khader, M V Narayan, Muslim Okkoota president Abdul Karim, Jamia Masjid members, Hilal Masjid members and DSS members were present.</p>.<p class="CrossHead">BJP to decide about movement</p>.<p class="bodytext">Alleging that the Congress-led state government has been neglecting the peoples' agitation for a separate taluk, BJP Madikeri president M N Kumarappa said that the BJP had supported the fight apolitically.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Addressing reporters, he said that further action will be decided after the visit of the Chief Minister on January 9. If necessary, the BJP will also conduct its own fight towards the formation of Cauvery taluk, he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">City BJP vice-president Mandepanda Bose Monnappa, secretary H D Shivaji, Taluk Yuva Morcha secretary M D Krishnappa and others were present in the press meet.</p>
