Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah and Congress president Rahul Gandhi tweeted their Sankranthi greetings to the people of poll-bound Karnataka in Kannada, on their respective official twitter handles.
"My Sankranti greetings to all Kannadigas. May this auspicious festival bring happiness, harmony anad well being to all," Modi tweeted in Kannada with its English translation.
"On the auspicious day when the Surya begins his journey to Uttarayana, let us resolve to rebuild golden Karnataka - filled with peace and prosperity, tweeted Shah. Rahul too wished the people of the state in Kannada saying that all their dreams will come true.
