A police constable attached to JJ Nagar police station was attacked by a group of miscreants using lethal weapons on Tuesday night.
Constable Rajendra was attacked in Padarayanapura when he went to attend a complaint received on Dial 100 in Hoysala as there was a complaint that around 15 miscreants were creating nuisance.
The constable's condition is said to be critical.
Additional Commissioner of Police (West) B K Singh with DCP West M N Anucheth visited the spot and took stock of the situation.
A special team has been formed to nab the miscreants.
