The production crew of Oru Adaar Love said on Wednesday that Manikyamalaraya poovi, the film's sensational hit song,  will be retained in the film.

The late-night announcement in Kochi, however, came after a phase of indecision in the wake of a police case filed in Hyderabad, in connection with the song's "objectionable" lyrics.

"We were initially worried about the case because we didn't want it to affect the people involved, including Priya Varrier (the actor featured in the song). But we were overwhelmed by the support the song was receiving and have decided to fight the case legally," Omar Lulu, the film's director, told reporters.

The composer of the song, Shaan Rahman, speaking at an event arranged for the promotion of the film, said they had almost decided to drop the song.

"I was telling Omar that he can't let all the negativity affect him because he still has to finish shooting the film,"  he said.
