'Housefull' comes to your houses

The team of Housefull has come up with a novel strategy to promote their film that makes not just one but six of its stars accessible to the public. In collaboration with a leading television channel, the cast of Housefull — Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Arjun Rampal, Riteish Deshmukh and Jiah Khan will travel across four cities — Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Mumbai and spend a day with the lucky contest winners’ families. Talking about the strategy to promote his film, says producer Sajid Nadiadwala, “The cast will be on an adventurous journey across these four cities and this will give audiences a chance to interact with them on a personal level. The team will be visiting four lucky households and spend an entire day with them. What more can one ask for?”

A spokesperson from the channel, which is the media partner for the activity, says, “The response to the Housefull contest has been great and we are getting lots of happy mails from fans who look forward to meeting these stars.”

Says a person from the media house, that has been instrumental in putting method to the madness, “This activity allows us to strategically play with the title of the film. It’s a novel and fun activity that allows the audience to get up close and personal with the star cast. As media directors, it’s our goal to get the best positioning for the film and this activity will help us do just that.”
