C S Rao, Managing Director, Intel Technology India Pvt Ltd, WiMAX Program Office spoke on the occasion. He said, “India, with its enormous trained human resource, as a potential subscriber base should aim at 4G technology which will bring in a revolution offering IT and multimedia services on high-speed wireless broadband.”

He said the next decade will usher in mobile and internet computing facilitating a powerful convergence platform with communication technology embedded. An estimated 300 million users will utilise a wide range of communication and information technology services in the next decade.

Offering a glimpse of the future, he said by 2025, the world will see the emergence of super speed internet connection, running at speeds of 100 GBPS. Earlier, the CMR Institute of Technology, Principal, K V S Ananda Babu, welcomed the gathering. The CMRJT Secretary K C Jaganath Reddy, presiding over the function, narrated the spectacular growth of the institution. Eminent academicians, scientists, experts from the corporate world, over 100 researchers and post-graduate students from across the country are participating in this conference. Over 100 research papers will be submitted at the
conference.
