French band to rock the City

As part of the ‘Celebrate France’ Festival, Kwak, a rock band from Paris, will perform on June 13,  7.30 pm at Alliance Francaise and on June 14, 7 pm at the Open Air Theatre, Mahajana School. For their second tour in India, they will present their third album, Malice en la demeure. They call their music French Rock, which is a very special mix of rock music and the French tradition of Chanson, full of French poetic lyrics.

The band features Damien Tartamella on lead vocals and harmonica; Julien Joubert on guitar and vocals; Xavier Hamon on percussions and drums and Guilamme Le Nost on bass guitar, flute and vocals.

Also on June 12 watch Samson et Dalilah a grand opera in three acts and four tableaux by Charles and Camille and Saint-Saens, a French composer.  Galeej Gurus will perform at the Alliance on June 14, 8 pm.
