Tribals get boat facility at Dubare

The tribals residing in this region have to cross the river to go to Najaraypattanna and other places to earn their daily wages and various other purposes.

There are number of students going to schools from this region as well. Realising the need for a boat facility, the district administration was providing the boat belonging to Home Guards to cross the river during rainy season for the last four to five years. Now the boat has been hired to ferry the tribals free of cost from private boat owners.

Boat owner said “on the request by the forest department, tribals are ferried across the river.”

However tribals have  urged the Deputy Commissioner to deploy a permanent boat to transport the tribals during rainy season.
