Fuel price hike paralyses House

As soon as the House assembled, the BJP members, barring the ministers, raised slogans against the UPA Government. A good number of MLAs held placards containing slogans against the UPA government and condmening fuel price hike. The Congress members began counter slogans over the Belekeri iron ore illegal export.

Speaker Bopaiah allowed question hour, as per the schedule. But nothing could be heard in the din as the members from both the sides were on their feat raising slogans in full throttle.

The Speaker repeatedly told the BJP members that they can’t bring placards to the House as it is not a political forum.

He also told them to restrain themselves from dirupting the transactions. Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah condemend the ruling party for reducing the House to a ‘shandy’. He requested Chief Minister Yeddyurappa to discipline his party members.

The Speaker adjourned the House for Tuesday.
