Teenager hacked to death

Lokesh, a resident of Ejipura was assaulted by five persons with lethal weapons in Lakshman Rao Nagar. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries, police said.

Police believe that Lokesh was involved in the recent murder of a gangster. Further, he was said to be involved in two attempts to murder cases. The deceased had been released from the remand home 10 days ago. 

Not connected

According to police, Lokesh’s murder doesn’t appear to be connected with Palani Velu case. “A member of the gang that assaulted Lokesh has been identified as Kannan. The motive behind the murder could be something else,” they added.

Exuding confidence that they would identify and trace the other suspects, police said that Lokesh was facing two criminal cases at Ashok Nagar and Vivek Nagar police stations.
