The government must provide 200 sites for the workers in every taluk and extend Rs one lakh as compensation, in case of fire accidents.
He was speaking at a talent award presentation programme organised by the Associationon Monday.
Zilla Panchayat member Balaji Chennaiah called upon cooking contractors and assistants to strive for the welfare of their working community.
“Most workers are unorganised in this sector. The workers must come together to ensure development in the community,” Chennaiah added.
