Nalani Navaneesh and four others, residents of Sugganahalli near Ramanagara had moved the High Court over the delay in shifting the campus.
The petitioners submitted that the State Government earlier in 2007 had decided to set up the university at Archakanahalli in Ramanagara and had reserved 30 acres.
Mentioning that notifications to acquire 200 acres of land were issued and Principal Secretary Medical Education had approved setting up of the Institute along with 250 bedded super speciality hospital, they submitted that the State has failed to give effect to the project.
The petitioners have sought directions to release funds for the varsity, which has been allocated on February 22, 2007. The matter has been adjourned.
