Back to the woods

Last Updated 30 July 2010, 18:23 IST

The short film is a recap of ancient Indian tradition. The plot revolves around three boys Veda (Sameer Puranik), Upamanyu (Sourabh Kulkarni) and Aruni (Sachin Bharadwaj), who come to Dhaumya Maharishi (Srinivas Prabhu), a seer who runs a gurukula in the jungle.

The three are initially put through rough tests by the Maharishi and how the boys overcome each test forms the story. Parents, who wish to treat their wards to a fare of moral values, will find the film pleasing. Viewers wanting gore and suspense can well give it a miss.
