However, the interesting aspect in his train journey is that he will be, through questionnaires, seek the opinion of commuters about the world-famous Dasara festival.
According to highly placed sources, the minister who is holding the Dasara festival for the first time, wants to get feedback from general public about ‘Nada Habba’.

This is a new attempt to be tried out by any minister to hear the voice of the common people regarding Dasara festival.

The sources told Deccan Herald that the officials have prepared a questionnaire which contains several points including how to celebrate this year’s Dasara festival adding to the glory of this gala event. Some officials are expected to accompany Suresh Kumar from Bangalore to Mysore.

Though the government shells out crores of rupees in the name of Dasara, seldom has any attempt being made to know the way in which the festival should be celebrated, in the perspective of common man.

Questionnaire

The sources pointed out that the filled in questionnaire are likely to be taken up during the Dasara meeting to be held in the city in one or two days. Usually, any minister, who holds in-charge of Mysore district, consults bureaucrats or people’s representatives regarding Dasara festival. But this attempt is rather unique, made by Suresh Kumar to understand the pulse of people, the sources added.
