Woman attacked at hospital premises

Severely injured Deepa has been admitted to the hospital. The incident occurred in broad daylight has sent shock waves in the town.

It is learnt that Deepa, after giving food to her kid in a school, had come to the hospital for a check-up.

Two unidentified men who saw Deepa walking alone behind the hospital threatened her with a knife and demanded her jewellry. When she protested, they attacked her with knife and stolen her jewellry.

People who noticed Deepa lying in a pool of blood rushed her to the hospital.  Her condition is said to be serious.

Police personnel have rushed to the spot and dog squad has been pressed for the service. Robertsonpet police have registered a case and are investigating.
