JOIN US The deceased have been identified as Shankar (38) and his daughter Gayathri.
Shankar has left behind a suicide note, on a stamp paper purchased in KGF on June 18, 2009.
In his suicide note, Shankar maintained that no one was to blame for his taking the extreme step, but justified his action of killing his daughter.
Both the bodies were found hanging from the ceiling of the flat.
The police said that Shankar had left home on on Saturday night, informing his wife that he was taking his daughter to his native town of Shanthipur, Andhra Pradesh.
Shankar was living in Hoodi Road near KR Puram. Six months ago, he had suffered a major head injury.
After that, he was reportedly in the habit of banging his head against the wall while he was in pain. He was being treated at Nimhans.
The unfinished flat belonged to Shankar's employer. Police have recovered alcohol bottles from the spot.
Cop’s wife kills self
A 33-year-old housewife committed suicide by hanging, at her Yelahanka New Town residence on Monday.
The deceased, Bhavya, was married to Purshotham, a police constable attached to CoD. Police said, the couple was married two years ago.
Bhavya was said to be unhappy, as she was not being treated well by her in-laws. However, the exact reason for her death is yet to be ascertained.
