Yeddyurappa, who had been meeting the senior party leaders for the past two days in the national capital, with cabinet reshuffle as his agenda, is said to have submitted a list of MLAs, among whom a few will be dropped and retained in the present Cabinet.

The chief minister who is keen on proceeding with the Cabinet expansion has tried hard to convince the national leaders about the urgency of reconstituting his team. This is the second time the chief minister has visited Delhi to meet senior party leaders to seek their approval for Cabinet reshuffle. However, his last visit a month ago failed, as the party top brass refused to accept his move of inducting his close confidante Shobha Karandlaje and V Somanna.

According to sources, the senior leaders met on Monday night and decided on who were to
be inducted and dropped from the Cabinet. Senior leader Ananth Kumar, who arrived from Bangalore on Monday evening also participated in the meeting. The BJP national president Nitin Gadkari, party in-charge in Karnataka Shantha Kumar, RSS pointman M P Kumar and senior leader Venkaiah Naidu were present at the meeting.
