JOIN USKarkala MLA Sunil Kumar has filed his nominations as BJP candidate for the forthcoming Assembly elections at Mini Vidhana Soudha at Taluk office in Karkala on Thursday.
Sunil Kumar had won in 2004 Assembly elections, but lost in the 2008 Assembly elections to Congress candidate Gopal Bhandari.
However, in 2013 Assembly elections, Sunil Kumar defeated Bhandari to win the seat.
The details of the movable and immovable asset given by Sunil Kumar in the affidavit accounts to Rs 53,27,194.
He owns 148 grams of gold worth Rs 4,28,460 . He owns a Toyota Innova worth Rs 15.46 lakh.
He claims to be an agriculturist with Rs 20,30,257 annual income as shown in the income tax details, while his wife has Rs 10,15,588 as annual income.
He has Rs 1,62,257.87, Rs 21,01,517.37 and Rs 87,830.30 amounts in various savings account in the branches of Syndicate Bank in Karkala, and has invested in shares respectively. He has savings of Rs 8,67,483 in his post office savings account and insurance claims. While his wife has Rs 88,867.70, Rs 7,230.71 and Rs 4,842.02 in the savings account. She has gold worth Rs 57,57,890.
Their income from agriculture is split as Rs 23,04,350 of Sunil Kumar and Rs 11,26,500 of his wife Priyanka. The total purchasing value of the assets the couple own is given as Rs 1,68,83,000 and Rs 7,50,000 respectively.
